Bunny Trails to Beach Tales #EastertoSummer

Starting with the bunnies...Oma helped us prepare for Easter in true German- and traditional-Rösch/Kelling style, which is with coloured Easter eggs and cake bunnies in Easter nests...and lots and lots of chocolate (not shown because...er...you know).

We also celebrated Oma's birthday with Fingerling stepping in to help with the cake this year, which was super tasty, and also wonderfully helpful.

The entire bunny-to-beach term was filled with a LOT of sport as I prepare for my Coast-to-Coast race and accompanying mini-races covering the three triathlon disciplines:

The kids got in on it too, with their own sports day and competitive races and competitions in fencing and Cheerleading (all involving plenty of travel, of course):

I also kept up my own slightly-crazy travel schedule, trying to combine catching up with friends where possible.

Here, the United Nations Ocean Conference, held in Nice, in June. I know #tough

I did do some work, plus swam at 6am in the Med and ate some ice-cream...

...and did actually protest bottom trawling:

My other significant travel this term was to Honduras via Cancun (to see Anita) and Panama:
Honduras was a REALLY interesting trip, in terms of security, animal welfare in shrimp production, social impacts on surrounding of the shrimp industry in south-west Honduras:

We did some interesting fieldwork with the local communities, measuring the impacts of the shrimp industry, but overall I was really impressed at the environmental and social benefits associated with production. All hail Honduran shrimp at M&S (their largest customer).

And a short but sweet trip to Nantes with little crevette to see all her friends (and speak French):

(and my friends too!):

And of course we also had some great family times - both nuclear and extended family:

At the Bannockburn heritage centre:

And on the Darn Walk between Dunblane and Bridge of Allan:

And rolling right back to Easter again: meeting up to roll eggs on the golf course:
