Ascension #enoughtomakeyouabeliever

Anything for a day off right?

Ascension falls on a Thursday, so the school (and most of France) takes the 'pont', or the bridge between Ascension Thursday and the weekend, which means we have a 4 day weekend. 4 days in Brittany this year, which included one night away for El Puma's birthday at a rather plush spa hotel (my new favourite thing). So that was us sorted.

Well I guess everyone else had an ok time too, although photographic evidence is a bit limited (possibly because I wasn't there).

All work and no play #matterofperception

It can't be all work and no play, right? Right, but sometimes it's still a lotta work:

Making quiches for daddy's tea (sort of):

Fixing the flat tyre:
Getting the daily exercise in:
Making breakfast:
Supervising the construction of the floor to ceiling book shelf:

Making the garden grow:
Attending Aquaculture UK in Aviemore:
Cutting the excess bamboo:
Going to the office. In London:
Getting hair cuts:
Can't be all work and no play, right?

A birthday, any birthday, is a good excuse to eat cake, eat ice-cream, have family visit, and go to the seaside.

Tick tick tick tick.

Oma provided the birthday excuse, Tante Margret added to the family visit, the sun came out for ice cream, and the beach was about 45 mins away from us on the coast of Brittany.

Right before the catatstrophe!
