So that was summer (cough cough splutter splutter).
We saw the sun, but only because we exited Ecosse, and even then it was only a couple of days' worth.
But way before that, there was the month of June (NOT summer in Scotland as it turns out).
The Stirling Summer Sessions started before summer did, and we got to see Tom with Stirling Castle as a spectacular backdrop. Sun? yes. Hats? Still yes. Shania Twain with Fingerling 2 nights later was total autumn.
We still climbed some mountains... (Arthur's Seat here):
And still graduated some kiddies (Small Fry now on his way to High School):
And lots of end-of-term thingamajigs:
And for the one day that was actually summer, we were lucky enough to be at Lochore for a triathlon, spending the day in (some of us) and around the Loch (all of us) and getting us some medals to boot (ok only Zach).
But we brought some of France to us, with Pablo joining Small Fry on the Island of Arran for a week of camping, followed by a final weekend together climbing Ben A'an and packing the car.
And that was it! The summer holidays have truly begun! Well, the holidays at any rate:
