Garden of Life #Nanteslandscaping

Pandemics rage, travel stops, but our garden doth grow.

Landcapers had a field day with a tractor and pulled up a couple of old tree stumps, quite a lot of prickly yucca, and some concrete paving. In its place, they have planted grass and (in theory) by the summer we will have a beautiful lawn.

Ray of light #sunnydays

Heriot-Watt gave me a 'rest day' i.e. a free day off #thankscovid.

So El Puma and I took our inflatable kayak to Loch Lubnaig (about half an hour away) for some kiddie-free paddle time. It was bliss.

And then we spent the rest of the weekend doing sunny, sunny things. If only we could guarantee this was the start of summer!

Forever Friends #Cousins

Cousins Schmmuzzins.

That is so totally not what we say in this house. I think our kids would go and permanently live with their cousins up the road if they could. What's not to love about nutella pancakes for breakfast, cake for lunch, and McDonald's for dinner? So it's maybe not like that all the time (or even any of the time) but you wouldn't know it from listening to my kids....

Being with their cousins is just one too-short holiday. To my kids, holiday is spelled c-o-u-s-i-n-s.

This being Easter, there were eggs and egg rolling too.

And real (chocolate) eggs.

And food. Whatever the Weather, Better Together.

And because it's the holidays. And we have cousins. We did cousiny things. Like take photos of each other.

(OK I had a hat on but I still did it!)

Except that. That we didn't do:
And this.
9 years.
But that's because we did lots of it.
